REACTIONS

SYMPTOMS & SYSTEMS
Inappropriate sensitivities and allergic reactions occur when the body is exposed to allergens, allergen families, or substances. Symptoms vary from person to person depending on the allergens. For instance, pollens and airborne pollutants or irritants may cause the respiratory system to react, whereas, the digestive system may react to whey in one person, but another may react with hives, rash, or acid reflux.

GENERAL SYMPTOMS
Many conditions result from inappropriate reactions to allergens. These symptoms can include digestive issues such as: IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), acid reflux, gas, bloating, a and diarrhea. Respiratory distress is evident if one experiences sneezing, wheezing, asthma, and coughing. Dermatological reactions may include rash, hives, blisters or eczema
and psoriasis. Behavioral manifestations of allergic reactions can be seen in children with ADD/ADHD
that show hyperactivity,
short attention span, and
even episodic crying or hysterical fits.

Household and occupational exposures can also create allergic reactions through chemicals, cleaners, building materials, detergents, pesticides, and deodorizers.
